	Question When I create PDF files using PDFxMakerLite with the option "Create PDF/X-1a" enabled the resulting files are of very big size, much larger than the source Delta List files. How can I reduce the size of the output files? Answer When we produce PDF/X1a files from the Delta job we make extensive use of one of the features of the Delta called "Image Mask Files". This feature is accessible from the "Trapping" tab of your Delta PrintManager input queue. The Delta will NOT produce these needed Image Mask files if you have the option "NONE" selected. In order to get these files you need to select any of the other options, such as enabling trapping or turning on the Generate Image Mask Files option. 	Question We are using PFDxMaker, I need to know what are the best setting to create a HiRez pdf file to send out to other printers ( printshops) Here is what my settings are, Output resolution is left unchanged HR/CT I have set at 6. Answer Also if you are running your Delta at 2540 DPI then you might want to set the HR/CT ratio to 8. 2540/8=317.5 and most images are stored at around 300 DPI so this may give better performance. Other than that, everything else looks fine.
