The three tests below were conducted on a dual processor 500 MHz Intel system running Windows NT 4. Each of the three pages represent realistic jobs prepared in Quark Express. The PostScript from Quark is first Ripped by the Heidelberg Delta Rip to a 2540 DPI print queue and exported to Delta Lists. Then Lucid's PDFxMakerLite is used to convert the Delta jobs to composite PDF files. Next a comparison is done with the 5.3 Version of the Harlequin Rip running on the same machine at 2540 DPI, first the original Quark PS is ripped and then the PDFxMakerLite - PDF files are ripped. Next the PDFxMakerLite - PDF files are ripped back on the Delta to the same queue as the original PS. Lastly as a final comparison we used a competitive product to convert the Delta lists and rip.
